2008 Letter to Graduates

The Dell Rapids Reformed Church Youth Group sponsored a 30-hour Dell Rapids Graduation Prayer Chapel from 6:00PM May 16th to midnight May 17th. The purpose of the prayer chapel was to pray individually for each of the Dell Rapids graduates. Each hour one to three people prayed specifically for you on the following topics.

Prayer for education
Prayer for careers
Prayer for good choices
Prayer for safety over graduation weekend
Prayer for parents & families
Prayer for health
Prayer for financial challenges
Prayer of praises for accomplishments

The prayer chapel involved volunteers from the community. Forty-three individuals and two junior high youth groups tended to the prayer chapel. Some people prayed for three hours in total, not because they had to, but because they wanted to pray for each graduate by name and individually.

Dell Rapids is not only the school that you graduated high school from, but it is also a community of Christians. Christian’s who will celebrate your success of a high school education and pray for your future.

The Reformed Church will be sponsoring future graduation prayer chapels. Next year, we would love to have you involved in the prayer chapel to pray for the graduating class of 2009.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11

“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” -- Matthew 21:22
